GUYYYYS I'm back with an unboxing! I got this box for my birthday in November, it is now nearing the end of February - life has been a bit of an out-of-control rollercoaster these last few months and the creative juices have just not been flowing.
I'll start by saying that I was a bit of a dummy when choosing between tiers for this box. I went with the Classic tier because I didn't read about what kind of toy was included in the Platinum properly. BIG mistake because since playing with this box - I've heard so so SO many amazing things about the Lelo Ora 2. I am 100% going to get this toy in the near future and review it separately. Did it make a massive difference when actually experiencing the fantasy? No it didn't - but I personally don't have a sex toy like the Ora 2 so I think it would have been a fun surprise!.

SO! The Birthday Box doesn't fall into any one category - it all depends on how YOU want to play it out. Sensual, Playful, or Control - it can be played out in multiple ways or a combination of ways. Switch it up as you go or try it in a different way each time you play. The one central theme - is birthday spanking ;)
The fantasy cards include instructions on how to deliver the birthday spanks so if this is something a little out of your usual realm, you won't have to guess. The person organizing the night will need to prepare a little ahead of time to set the space up, so if you've bought this for your S.O for their birthday, be sure to open it and read the cards before the actual night. Since it was my birthday, it was hubby who had to prepare. He handed me the lingerie, the shave gel, the lotion, and "The Celebrated" card, and told me to go and take a nice warm shower while he set our bedroom up.
Not kidding, the shower gel and the lotion are worth this box alone. The Frosted Cupcake Coochy gel smells insanely delicious and I 100% licked it just to see if tasted as good as it smelled. Don't do that lol. I still use the gel nearly every day and the bottle is huge so it's lasted me a really long time! Your whole bathroom will smell amazing AND you can also use it as a conditioner for your hair if you want to! I haven't tried doing that yet but the idea of my hair smelling like cupcakes makes me really happy :) I love a multi purpose product and am always stoked when these boxes include items that I can use multiple times, rather than throw away after one or two uses.
The Pure Instinct "True Blue" pheromone lotion is another multi purpose product. It's primarily a massage lotion but doubles as a body lotion. The scent is soooooo addictive that I now wear it as hand lotion every single day. The fragrance includes notes of Australian mango and mandarin, a hint of cinnamon and a yummy blend of honey and white musk. Another fun Aussie fact: the term "true blue" means loyal/dependable!
My husband has a bit of a knack for setting up an awesome vibe in our bedroom and unsurprisingly this time was no exception. The set of three edible massage candles were already burning and ohhhh wow that was a tropical fruit basket smack in the face - in the best of ways! The three scents are cherry, watermelon (my favorite) and strawberry. My opinion on the edible component of the candles is that they are more "kissable" than actually edible. They do taste just like the way they smell, but I wouldn't pour it straight into your mouth. Honestly they smell so good that it is very tempting to want to sink your teeth into those chunks of wax but definitely don't do that haha!
It felt intuitive to us to start the spanking fun with the furry side of the heart shaped paddle. I am definitely more fond of a slow build up to more intense sensations, rather than going full throttle from the start. The same goes for the chain tickler - you can start with a gentle tickling sensation and eventually build up to more of a whipping action if that's what you're into! Just don't forget your safe word. Both of these included items made for a super fun mix of feelings on the booty cheeks :P We definitely mixed up the styles of play and went for a sensual, playful and control dynamic as the night went on.
Oh, and if you have a blindfold or mask from another box, you may want to pull one of these out for the evening too! ;)
We had a lot of fun with this box and didn't take it too seriously, which was the perfect mood for a birthday celebration! We have taken a little hiatus from boxes over the last few months but I'm starting to think about which one we should try out next.
