Hey guys! It's been a while since I've been able to do an unboxing! I was in Australia visiting family for a few weeks in September and returned to the U.S with a huge list of stuff I needed to get in order - still ongoing! Basically, R and I haven't had time for anything more than a quickie in the last couple of months. A lot of people think that we have an over-the-top sex life but really, we are just like any other couple who go through mismatched libidos, distracted minds and a serious case of the CBF's (that's Australian for Can't Be F*cked, which means can't be bothered, and this is it being used literally - haha)!
This Halloween (why do I always mistype that as HalloweeD?), The Fantasy Box released my dreammmmm box - The Witch & Wizard Fantasy! This is a Harry Potter/Dark Witch at-home bar scenario where you can play out your sexy Hermione/Wicked Witch/Vodermort/Snape/Whoever desires. The perfect Halloween, cool season date!
We opted to go for the Classic tier this time around, as I REALLY wanted to try the toy that is included. Being a massive Harry Potter nerd (#teamgryffindor), I opted for the Hogwarts style costume. However, I do actually own the black lace skirt and top set that is offered as the alternative, and it's one of my favourite things in my collection. It's extremely flattering and comfortable and will fit all sorts of shapes and sizes.
Costume sizing can sometimes be tricky when they're in separates like a top and skirt. For me, the skirt was a little too big around the waist and the top was a bit tight on my chest/back. But it wasn't anything that made a difference to the fun of the fantasy and it's not something I would wear in public so it didn't at all matter. Hubby thought it was very cute too! We both also loved the addition of the plastic wands which made for a really hilarious conversation, as well as the cute cat tattoos.
A fun fact about the naming of the fictional bar, the "Frisky Whisker": It was actually chosen by the Director of the company because of a cardboard box 'bar' that my husband made for our cats... Yes... We are crazy cat people and have two giant fluffy Maine Coons. Evidence of original bar attached! :P
The inclusion of the cocktail menu and suggested cocktail recipes is the exact attention to detail that I love from TFB. My husband used to be a bartender in a well-known hotel in Los Angeles (which is where we met) - and he was called upon to include his own recipes for this box. So anyone who has already bought this box and made some of these cocktails, you're welcome!!! Believe me when I say he makes the BEST cocktails and it's actually amazing that he hasn't gotten sick of me asking for them all the time haha! Getting to watch him make the cocktails on the night (and any night) was a total turn on, I love seeing him in his element. I can't remember if I've told the whole story of how we met yet, but that will have to be a different blog post.
The moss seeds are specifically included to be able to make the signature drink "Gimlet of Fire". The way it works is that you will top your gimlet off with a splash of rum and carefully light it on fire. You then add the seeds to a teaspoon and slowly sprinkle them over the flames which creates little sparks. It's so much fun and looks so pretty. Naturally, you need to read the warnings on the label and blow out the fire before drinking the cocktail. The little seeds are gluten free, dairy free, vegan, GMO free and all natural.
I didn't take a photo of what R made as we have a no phones rule when we are doing our boxes, so I've included an example of how it should look.
Now onto the toy! The reason why I chose the Classic box this time around was because this toy looks a lot like another couples toy that we had been wanting to try for ages. We love couples toys that we both get something out of, and this one has many different ways to use it so we were keen to give it a go. As soon as I took it out of the box, I knew I was going to love this one. It is silky smooth and soft to touch and has nice flexible arms. The base was also really easy to hold and it was lightweight. What I wasn't expecting, is that it vibrates in both the base and both the arms (so, three motors) and you can have them on at the same time, or one off and one on. There are apparently 10 different vibration variations in BOTH parts, so you can create as many as 100 different combinations. Phew! The vibrations themselves are mostly low and rumbly (my fave) and it is SO quiet. R had an easy time of wearing it and it made for a really effortless time. This is one we will use over and over again for sure!
This date will go down as one to remember for me. If you're looking for a night full of fun and laughter, one that doesn't take itself too seriously, then this is definitely the box for you. Sometimes it's nice to just get tipsy and be silly together, which usually leads to a more playful style of sex which I always enjoy!
